We were disappointed to learn that a multi-million dollar appropriation for nurse-managed care was cut from the President's 2011 budget, and there will be no new funding for nurse-managed health centers through the HRSA Bureau of Health Professions.

Between this new development and ongoing uncertainty regarding the congressional health reform bills, nurse-managed health centers may find themselves struggling to fulfill their missions with insufficient and unsustainable funding.
